Come escape the winter and reconnect to yourself and to the pristine nature at the Luxury Eco Resort, Playa Viva!  This Eco Resort is an environmentally conscious hotel dedicated to sustainability and regenerative practices, as well as supporting local projects, such as the turtle conservation camp.  It is an all-inclusive resort (bar drinks not included) serving 4 organic farm-to-table buffet meals per day.  With an emphasis on health and wellbeing, the salad/fruit bar and buffet are mostly vegan and vegetarian, with locally sourced fish and meat options for lunches and dinners.

Accommodations will be 2-4 person occupancy mahogany casitas, nestled in the lush tropical vegetation, against the background of the crashing waves. The open-air style construction offers an intimate connection with nature and a lovely perpetual ocean breeze.

  • 1 hour active yoga class in the morning at a beachside open-air mahogany yoga studio.
  • 1 hour gentle yoga class in the afternoon at the open-air bamboo Tortuga (Turtle) Yoga Studio.
  • 1 hour Myofascial Release (MFR) class in the afternoon exploring the Paradigm of MFR: structural release and self-treatment, unwinding, and rebounding.  Some activities will be done with partner work. There will be time for journaling within this class. Location: Tortuga Yoga Studio.
  • 30+ minute meditation class following dinner at the Tortuga Yoga Studio. This will also be a time you may share your experiences and revelations during this self-reflective retreat.
  • Playa Viva Farm Tour. Schedule in advance – Tuesday and Friday mornings, 10:30 meet at the pool lounge (Groups of 6 or more can schedule based on availability) and join Amanda, Permaculture Manager, or one of her expert team members, for a tour of the farm. Learn design principles used to improve soil quality, capture carbon, and produce the organic ingredients you eat in Playa Viva. Come meet the team, pick and taste fruits straight from the tree, and play with baby piglets. Engage in a deeper way in the ecosystem of Playa Viva.
  • Cacao Heart Opening Ceremony. Schedule in advance – 11am. Private group
    ceremonies available upon request. Prepared with respect to Ancestral wisdom, get ready to open your Heart to the loving medicine of the cacao plant, drink of the Gods. In a sacred circle of healing, through intuitive chanting and vibrations, let yourself go in a deep meditation beyond Time and Space. An invitation to reveal the Divine inside-out! Ceremony held at Playa Viva.
  • 7:00am  Light breakfast with fresh tropical fruit, yogurt, chia seed pudding.
  • 9:00am  Full buffet breakfast
  • 2:00pm  Full buffet and salad bar lunch
  • 7:00pm  Full buffet and salad bar dinner

You will have free time to following breakfast until the late afternoon. This would be a wonderful time to stroll along the pristine beach, walking as far as the eye can see along the completely undeveloped coastline. Be sure to scan the water for whales and dolphins passing by. You can schedule a massage on the beach with the resort massage therapist. You could simply read a book under a cabana or take a siesta in a hammock.
